Consultation Services on Socialization (Public Consultation) to Fishermen for the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant Project (2021) – IFC
This consultancy provided public consultation and community engagement services for fishermen affected by the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant Project, developed under IFC’s environmental and social safeguard framework. The main objective was to facilitate transparent communication, gather feedback, and ensure meaningful participation of local fishing communities around the Cirata Reservoir in West Java.
Activities included stakeholder mapping, preparation of consultation materials, facilitation of public meetings, documentation of community concerns, and development of a summary report with recommendations for integrating fishermen’s input into the project’s Land Acquisition and Resettlement Action Plan (LARAP) and Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM).
Through this engagement, the project strengthened mutual understanding between developers and local stakeholders, promoting inclusive, socially responsible, and sustainable renewable energy development in line with IFC Performance Standards.
